Breaking: Popular Senator died of COVID-19 Complications

Senator Buruji Kashamu died today at the First Cardiology Consultants Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria,
where he was receiving treatment for coronavirus related disease.

Kashamu represented Ogun East Senatorial district Ogun East, comprising of eleven local government areas: Ijebu North East, Ijebu North, Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu East, Ikenne, Ipokia, Odogbolu, Obafemi Owode, Remo North, Sagamu, and Ogun Waterside, in the 8th National Assembly.

Senator Kashamu was the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on States and Local Government.

Nigerian Senator Buruji Kashamu is said to have died of Coronavirus according to multiple reports now confirmed by his associate and close ally, Senator Ben Murray Bruce.

He was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun State. He was appointed as the chairman, Organization and Mobilization Committee of the PDP in the South West zone of Nigeria.

An official statement from the family is yet to be made available to newsmen as at press time.
